So I have decided that I am very uneducated when it comes to movies, therefore, as a new goal for myself I am going to watch all 100 movies on AFI's top 100 movie list. I think it will be fun to watch all the classics and since I have only seen about ten to maybe twenty of them I figure it will be nice to know what people are talking about when they quote famous movies or say that they are just great films in general. So now the only issue I have is to start at the top or the bottom...
Here goes something!

Out with the old (kinda)
So I made the decision to get rid of Millifacent (aka Millie) recently because she is such a thirsty individual. Yesterday I said goodbye to her, which was sad, but kind of a huge relief considering how much money in gas I was putting in her and how many issues she was having lately.
So without further ado, here is my new ride (yet to be named)
So without further ado, here is my new ride (yet to be named)
Sorry it is a small pic, but it was taken on my phone and didn't upload right. She/he is a new Ford Fiesta sedan. I am currently getting 38 mpg which is AWESOME! I am so excited for the change, I am sad that I gave up on Millie so easily, however, she was not good for me since I drive a lot more than I thought I did I guess.
Anyway, just wanted to share my new news, oh and I am DONE officially with school in December! Who knew that it was so close, I am so excited to be able to move on finally and go to the next chapter, which involves working all the time, but without the extra stress of school I can honestly say I am kind of looking forward to it.
Till next time.

Maybe May
So I am officially giving up on April I think. Maybe May will be nicer to me. Millie is being difficult lately, her check engine light came on last week sometime so Sean took it in to get checked out and turns out I am the dummy and didn't turn the gas cap to make it click 3 times so it wasn't on tight, easy fix. Then on Sunday it came on again, I was just thinking about going to get more gas and I hadn't done it yet and there was that stupid light. So I filled her up and clicked the stupid cap at least six times, the light was still on. On Monday my dad and Sean took her down again to get checked out and on Tuesday they said that they didn't really know what it is so she has to go to the Mazda dealership to get checked out and she is still under warranty so I shouldn't have to pay for it, but knowing my luck this year it will be a few grand and I will have to pay for it all. Anyone interested in a 2007 Mazda CX-7 ;)
On good note, I talked to my advisor and he said that graduating in December is a definite possibility. I am so excited, I only have 7 classes left, including my internship (which is a big issue currently.) I can finally see the light at the end of my long school tunnel and I cannot wait. I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up though which is a problem with being so close to being done with school. I was told that with my job I should be guaranteed a promotion when I finish, but who knows how true that actually is, then there is the option that I should probably go with of using my degree, what a novel idea, my parents just spent thousands of dollars on my education why not put it to good use? The bad part is what I am considering going into probably could have been done in a few years with a certificate instead of a 5 year BS, but with the BS I should be higher in line to get a job than those with just the certificate. Who really knows what they want to be when they grow up though, it is a tough decision to make even for grown ups.

Bring on April!
So this year I told my mom in January that I wanted to be "more grown up," like managing money better, paying some bills that are currently being paid by my parents, figuring out what I want to do when I grow up and finding out how much longer I have left in school and pushing through that as soon as I can. Needless to say this year has not been kind to me in my quest. For starters, I decided to buy a new car, I got it in my head that I needed an SUV in this Utah weather, however going from about 34 miles to the gallon to 19 or 20 on a really good week has been a little tough.
Don't get me wrong I love my new car, Millie as I like to call her, she is just super thirsty and I am not used to that since Franny lasted forever on a tank of gas.
Then I got a letter in the mail from my work, well the debt management center place from my work, saying that I owed them about $560. I have to take leave without pay in order to go to school, which in turn is the only way I can keep my job at the moment. However, at some point in the year last year somewhere along the lines of communication some of my LWOP hours that I entered into the system were not seen, so I was paid for hours that I really wasn't there, resulting in them coming back saying that I owe them for those hours. Luckily my dad is pretty much awesome and loaned me the money so that I could just get it taken care of and I could pay him back whenever I could. Sweet! Right?
Not so sweet after I did my taxes a week or so later (silly me thinking that I could use my return to pay him back.) I don't know what I did wrong when I did or did not put dependents on my W-2 last year, but I ended up owing both state and federal taxes for a total of about $400.
This year has not been my friend so far, I have owed the government almost $1,000, bought a new car that was a huge want and not a necessity, I also got a random bill from my dentist for $80 for something I had done in October of last year, oh and to top it all off I have been sick for at least 80% of this wonderful 2011 year so far. I went to the doctor twice, the first time (in February) it was a virus of some kind that I don't think ever fully went away and then again after not being able to smell or taste anything for more then a week, over Spring Break no less, I found out I had sinusitis, of which I am almost all the way done with (YAY!).
So my hopes for April are that I no longer get any out of the blue surprise bills, I do have to pay my taxes this month which I am not looking forward to though, the Bees season is here I am very excited about this it means that summer is just around the corner, the end of the month also brings an end to another terrible semester, which means I am that much closer to GRADUATION, and maybe I can get back on track for saving money.
So if there is anyone still with me on this one, Thank you I appreciate your time of which I took a lot of, and I apologize as well for the random ramblings of me, but I had to write it all down just to remember how terrible this year has been so far for future reference ;)
